There is a growing concern on governments to measure the public awareness of the scientific findings, that is, how citizens interpret the efficiency of scientists and their efforts to find solutions. This scenario demands mechanisms to identify the reputation of experts in specific fields of science or in certain topics of interest, such as the Chikungunya fever. In order to meet this demand we present REALM, an altmetrics-based web system that allows the extraction of three groups of metrics (productivity, academic impact and social impact) and correlates these metrics to identify the main scientists or groups of scientists in specific research scenarios. The system was applied on the Chikungunya research, where the most important names and studies related to the disease were identified and their reputation was evaluated by Fiocruz specialists.
